Company History

1898

On the banks of Little Cuyahoga River in East Akron, Ohio, Frank A. Seiberling establishes the company Goodyear. The company manufactures horseshoes, bicycle and cart tires, signet rings for conservation, fire hoses and rubber counters for poker.

1913

The first Goodyear conveyor belt is produced.

1920

The company Atlanta, the predecessor of the company Sava, d.d.is established in Kranj. The company manufactures tires, air springs, belts and other rubber technical products.

1926

With sales over 230,000 $, Goodyear becomes the largest manufacturer of tires and rubber products.

1927

Goodyear Engineered Products starts the manufacture of brake hoses.

1997

The American Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company and the company Sava, d.d., sign a joint venture agreement and founding contracts for the companies: Sava Tires, a company for the production of car tires, and Goodyear Engineered Products Europe, a company for the supply of transport hoses, air springs and power transmission products on the European markets.

2001

The American Goodyear Corporation becomes a 100% holder of Goodyear Engineered Products Europe and later the majority holder of the company Sava Tires. The Head Office of the company Goodyear Engineered Products Europe moves from Brussels, Belgium,to Kranj, Slovenia.

2004

Launching the production of air condition hoses in Kranj, Slovenia.

2007

The Goodyear Corporation sells the division of rubber technical products Goodyear Engineered Products to the American private capital corporation Carlyle Group. Goodyear Engineered Products are since manufactured and sourced exclusively by Veyance Technologies, Inc.

2007

Veyance Technologies Spain established to enable innovative solutions to service customers.

The company Goodyear Europe produces industrial elements for power transmission, replacement automobile products and automobile products for first installation.


Power transmission belts

Goodyear Europe offers wide range of quality products in order to cope with the growing demands of high-power engines for industrial and automotive applications. Goodyear engineered products comply with generally accepted specifications and can be used for OE and replacement installations. Development and marketing of the products is jointly conducted by a group of competent experts with years of experience, whose knowledge is constantly upgraded by following the latest technological discoveries in the field of power transmission products.

V-belts* (available in various sizes: AV10, AV11, AV13, AV17)

Poly-V belts* (available in various sizes: 3PK-10PK, 12 PK; special belts: Gatorback belt and the double-sided PKD Poly-V belt)

PD-belts* (high-quality belts with various profiles, special belt: the improved variant of Tube Alloy belt)

Kits* (combination of V-belts/Poly-V belts and metal components)
