Throwback Thursday – Ian Walker and Graham Hill stood next to the post-race Ford Falcon. Ian is standing in front of the crumpled front wing sustained in the rally, after using a tree, a rope and reverse gear to straighten out frontal damage caused when the throttle stuck open.

Hill and Walker took the event very seriously, making pace notes and using a helmet-mounted intercom system for the first time.
